J. G. Chapin is an untalented, illiterate writer trying to make a buck with tall tales about the unsuccessful and unnecessary events concerning his mundane life. Known as ‘JC’ to anyone
that he doesn’t owe money, Chapin has a master’s degree in Communications. He worked for over thirty-five years in the Broadcast Industry, and more recently as a broadcast consultant and college instructor. Alas, what Chapin does best is make-up stories. (Well, what he is really best at is loafing, but that’s another limb to trim.) Chapin chooses his imaginary event and exaggerates it to the tenth power of ridiculous. That makes it a tall tale. Light-hearted humor has always been a major part of Chapin’s world. Humor is a strong medicine, and he’s addicted. Most of JC’s stories are entertainingly exaggerated situations from four childhoods: His own, his children’s, his grandchildren’s, and now his own second
childhood.
John Chapin has been married over forty-five years to Connie (aka Sunshine) a talented, published songwriter and poet. Their two adult children are closet writers, who express thoughts of a younger age. Their son, Brad, is a published author in the field of psychology, international speaker, and creator of the Challenge Software Program. (Search: selfregulationstation.com.) Recently, John noticed that their daughter, Leah, who works in the public educational system,
has, unfortunately, developed a similar, warped sense of humor - Beware! John and Connie have five grandchildren.
